Publisher Direction to SOCAN Concerning Payment of Writer’s Reproduction Right Royalties
Subject to the terms of the publishing agreement, the Publisher who has already chosen SOCAN to represent its reproduction rights may decide to further instruct SOCAN to pay directly, the Writer their share, on its behalf.
A note to SOCAN Reproduction Rights Clients regarding future publishing contracts. If, for any reason, you as the rightsholder, no longer control certain or all musical works within your repertoire, it is understood that SOCAN’s administration of these specific musical works will conclude, OR will shift to the new rightsholder if administered by SOCAN.
